Occupational Therapist

Amy Anderson graduated from Worcester State College in 1997 with a degree in Occupational Therapy. OT is skilled treatment that helps individuals achieve independence in all facets of their lives.

Amy recently earned her CHT. A Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) is an occupational therapist or physical therapist who has a minimum of five years of clinical experience, including 4,000 hours or more in direct practice in hand therapy. In addition, the Certified Hand Therapist has successfully passed a comprehensive test of advanced clinical skills and theory in upper quarter rehabilitation. Because of changes in the profession, every CHT is required to demonstrate continued professional development and competency by recertifying every five years.

For the past five years, Amy has focused on Hand Therapy which is the treatment of individuals with conditions of the hand or upper extremity, incorporating traditional orthopedic therapy methods with meaningful activities to promote healing. Amy lives in Norwich with her husband and 2 sons and enjoys stamping, scrap booking, swimming and hiking.
